UFOs and Secret Experiments

If, as my Body Snatchers in the Desert book suggests, certain key events in the summer of 1947 – of a perceived flying saucer nature – had far less to do with the actions of aliens and far more to do with matters of a classified, military nature, then it would be reasonable to assume that discussion of such a possibility would have been flying around Washington and the government, and people would have been secretly digging at an official level to try and determine if this was indeed the case.
Although many have said that the government’s worries and concerns about UFOs in ’47 were provoked by fear of them having definitive alien or Soviet origins, we have prime evidence in our hands that demonstrates the domestic “Secret Weapon” angle was one most definitely discussed – and even accepted – at an official level, as we shall now see…
In early July 1947, Brigadier General George F. Schulgen, Chief of the Requirements Intelligence Branch of Army Air Corps Intelligence, met with Special Agent S.W. Reynolds of the FBI with a view to determining if the Army Air Force could solicit the assistance of the Bureau on a regular basis in its investigation of the flying saucer mystery.
General Schulgen advised Reynolds that, “every effort must be undertaken in order to run down and ascertain whether or not the flying discs are a fact and, if so, to learn all about them.”
The foremost thought on General Schulgen’s mind was that the saucers were man-made in origin. He confided in Special Agent Reynolds that, “the first reported sightings might have been by individuals of Communist sympathies with the view to causing hysteria and fear of a secret weapon.” It was for this reason that the Army Air Force sought the FBI’s assistance.
General Schulgen guaranteed the FBI “all the facilities of [my] office as to results obtained,” and outlined a plan that would involve the FBI in both locating and questioning witnesses to UFO sightings to ascertain whether they were sincere in their statements that they had seen flying saucers, or whether their statements were prompted by personal desire for publicity or political reasons.
According to declassified FBI files, Schulgen was careful to advise Reynolds too that: “It has been established that the flying discs are not the result of any Army or Navy experiment.”
Following the meeting between Schulgen and Reynolds, FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover instructed his agents to begin investigations into flying saucer sightings in the
manner suggested byGeneral Schulgen.
As a result of these investigations, on 15 August 1947 the FBI learned of the distinct possibility that the military’s involvement in the flying saucer subject possibly extended beyond that of mere observer.
In a memorandum to Edward A. Tamm, the FBI Assistant Director, D.M. Ladd of the Bureau’s Domestic Intelligence Division wrote the following:
“The Director advised on August 14, 1947, that the Los Angeles papers were carrying headlines indicating that Soviet espionage agents had been instructed to determine the facts relative to the flying discs. The article carried a Washington date line and indicated that Red espionage agents had been ordered to solve the question of the flying discs, the Russians being of the opinion that this might be some new form of defense perfected by the American military. The article further recalled that during the recent war pieces of tin foil had been dropped in the air for the purpose of off-setting the value of radar being used by the enemy forces and that these aluminum discs might be a new development along this line. The Director inquired as to whether the Bureau had any such information.”
Suspecting that, if the Russians were snooping around, the saucers had to be American in origin, Special Agent Reynolds of the FBI’s Liaison Section was directed by J. Edgar Hoover to make further inquiries with the Air Force.
On 19 August, 1947, Reynolds met with a Lieutenant Colonel George D. Garrett and the entire secret weapon issue was discussed frankly, as were the possible consequences should the Bureau uncover details of a top-secret, domestic research-and development program.
Following their candid discussion, a remarkable memorandum captioned Flying Discs was prepared by Reynolds for the attention of Hoover. It is this document perhaps more than any other that indicates that the American military was testing flying saucer-type aircraft in the summer of 1947.
“Special Agent S. W. Reynolds of the Liaison Section, while discussing the above captioned phenomena with Lieutenant Colonel Garrett of the Air Forces Intelligence, expressed the possibility that flying discs were, in fact, a very highly classified experiment of the Army or Navy. Mr. Reynolds was very much surprised when Colonel Garrett not only agreed that this was a possibility, but confidentially stated it was his personal opinion that such was a probability. Colonel Garrett indicated that a Mr. [Deleted], who is a scientist attached to the Air Forces Intelligence, was of the same opinion.
“Colonel Garrett stated that he based his assumption on the following: He pointed out that when flying objects were reported seen over Sweden, the ‘high brass’ of the War Department extended tremendous pressure on the Air Forces Intelligence to conduct research and collect information in an effort to identify these sightings. Colonel Garrett stated that, in contrast to this, we have reported sightings of unknown objects over the United States, and the ‘high brass’ appeared to be totally unconcerned. He indicated this led him to believe that they knew enough about these objects to express no concern. Colonel Garrett pointed out further that the objects in question have been seen by many individuals who are what he terms ‘trained observers’ such as airline pilots. He indicated also that several of the individuals are reliable members of the community. He stated that these individuals saw something. He stated the above has led him to the conclusion that there were objects seen which somebody in the Government knows all about.”
Special Agent Reynolds then pointed out to the colonel that if flying saucers did indeed originate with a highly classified domestic project of the military, it was wholly unreasonable for the FBI to be expected to “spend money and precious time conducting inquiries with respect to this matter.”
The colonel duly concurred with Reynolds, and indicated that it would have been extremely embarrassing to Air Force Intelligence if the saucers proved to be American in origin.
Perhaps sensing that he was getting close to uncovering the truth behind the UFO puzzle, Reynolds then made inquiries with the Intelligence Division of the War Department for an opinion on the theory that some shadow government operation was responsible for the many flying-saucer-type objects seen over North America.
The War Department, however, issued a flat denial that it was in any way implicated in the UFO issue.
In a report written up later, Reynolds noted that he was given “the
assurance of General Chamberlain and General Todd that the Army is conducting no experiments with anything which could possibly be mistaken for a flying disc.”
Nevertheless, the FBI continued to view the subject of flying saucers and the military’s involvement in it with suspicious eyes; and rumors continued to circulate within the higher echelons of the FBI that it was being denied access to the full and unexpurgated facts.
None of this, of course, proves that the flying saucer wave of the summer of 1947 was provoked by a highly classified military program – rather than one of ET origin – but the behind-the-scenes discussions between the likes of Reynolds and Garrett on just such a possibility are, to say the very least, highly intriguing…

A spooky YouTube video appears to show three ‘orbs’ moving slowly around the Atlantis, as it floats in orbit during the final shuttle mission last July.
The footage, which is a segment of the feed, begins with one of the astronauts describing to ground control what they’re seeing.

The unnamed crew member says: ‘It’s a structure that’s definitely not rigid. Doesn’t look like anything I’ve ever seen on the outside of the Shuttle, that’s for sure.’
He describes how the object ‘quickly moved to the nose of the orbiter, moving away at least 100 feet’.
For a few minutes nothing of note happens, but then at 4.45 the camera looks beyond the shuttle and focusses on three orbs that appear to be hovering in a triangular formation nearby.
The ground control commentator immediately passes them off as ‘reflections in the camera lens’ – but the shuttle crew members seem far less dismissive, with one confirming that they’re seeing ‘three or four objects’ and asking: ‘Can you confirm it’s just the one that’s moving?’

However, the footage, despite being mysterious, remains too indistinct for any conclusions to be drawn about whether E.T really was observing the final shuttle mission.
Many YouTube users who’ve studied it firmly believe the crew are looking at space junk.
However, could E.T have been zooming around Seoul, recently?
A mysterious round white object was filmed whizzing around a passenger plane above the capital of South Korea on April 7.
The clip, which has also been uploaded to YouTube (see below), begins with the ‘craft’ at the bottom of the screen, keeping pace with the passenger plane.
But then it speeds up and rises in altitude before zipping off out of shot, just as the startled person filming it tries to zoom in for a closer look.
When the UFO accelerates he can be heard making some sort of exclamation, as if trying to draw someone’s attention to it.

The video was uploaded by YouTube user ‘Crazybreakingnews’, who commented: ‘It looks a little bit strange and not really similar to the other videos. If it's really real and not a fake, it looks like a kind of military drone.’
Several YouTube users are convinced it’s a UFO of some sort, but others remain sceptical.
Psued0Name said: ‘When stabilised, it is easy to see what is going on with the video.
‘The edges of the UFO are not blurred like all of the other background objects, it seems like a separate effect from the background, and in fact you can see edge noise on the shape of the UFO indicating it's a fake.
‘It doesn't even look right if you start to look at it hard, especially slowed down frame by frame.’
User vicariousjojoe agreed, writing: ‘People, you should know by now what is fake and what's not. You can always tell by the way the camera moves and zooms.’
Possible UFO activity has recently been sighted much closer to home, with a star-gazer filming intriguing footage of a glowing UFO, which he says he spotted hovering over the Thames Estuary in February.
The man, identified only as Space999dude, recorded the phenomenon as he drove past the river at night, he said.
The mysterious, oval aircraft can be seen suspended in the air displaying several amber-gold lights of varying sizes.

Wikileaks UFO Analyzed: What Is It? (Video)
A UFO video
released by Wikileaks has been analyzed and enhanced, revealing never before
seen details. It still doesn't really answer the question: What is it?
The video is
reviewed by the prolific paranormal researcher AmericanBunker who has many YouTube videos analyzing
supposedly supernatural events. While she doesn't draw any definite conclusions
about what's on this Wikileaks release, her powerful video analyzing tools open
some definite possibilities.
The original,
unenhanced video opens the segment showing what looks like a "mothership" type
craft blossoming out to release several smaller craft into the night sky over a
populous, unidentified city. A towering crane is nearby, shrouded in darkness,
but silhouetted by the dimly lit horizon.
As she
heightens the contrast between the objects, it seems to show that this film clip
is actually two separate videos cleverly pieced together. It certainly explains
a lot.

NASA ISS Desktop Photo Confirms UFO Disclosure NOW

Apparently the ISS computer's desktop background is UFO's flying in space. And that image happens to be the logo for a pdf file named: The Importance Of Disclosure. Really- Direct From NASA. Unarguable. Is this the proof we been waiting for? Look closely at the image.

Clearly the astronauts aboard the International Space Station are in support of disclosure. And there is no reason to doubt the existance of space visitors after seeing this with your own eyes.
Elevated exposure for MUFON?
As the new point man for the Mutual UFO Network, David MacDonald likes to tout the numbers: 3,000 members in 39 countries, 947 of whom are field investigators. With those sorts of resources, one would expect the 43-year-old outfit to have an inside track on collecting UFO data in the USA.
But according to the Federal Aviation Administration’s Air Traffic Control manual, updated on Feb. 9, “Persons wanting to report UFO/unexplained phenomena activity should contact a UFO/unexplained reporting data collection center, such as Bigelow Aerospace Advanced Space Studies (BAASS) (voice: 1-877-979-7444 or e-mail: Reporting@baass.org), the National UFO Reporting Center, etc.”

MacDonald, who succeeded Clifford Clift (of Colbert Report fame) as MUFON’s International Director in February, hopes to turn the visibility thing around in a big way. He recently hauled MUFON’s entire inventory — from 17 filing cabinets of reports, photos and tapes to an old Vanguard rocket engine — from its previous headquarters in Colorado to Ohio’s Lunken Airport, the municipal reliever for Cincinnati International. It took four men five hours to unload the stuff, some of which MacDonald hopes to showcase in the near future.

At 65, MacDonald is a longtime pilot, and president/CEO of Flamingo Air Inc., which its website proclaims as “Cincinnati’s most outrageous airline.” That’s because, among other things, it offers hour-long “Mile High Club” flights in a Cherokee 6 that advertise chocolates, champagne, curtains, and “one very discreet pilot.”
Two months into the MUFON gig and MacDonald says everything’s coming up roses. The HQ staff is small — MacDonald and his wife, plus a third assistant — but they’ve managed to unscramble a slack records-keeping system, and having its logo on display at an airport doesn’t hurt.
“Hundreds of people see us now, and I’m not just talking local people either,” says MacDonald. “I’m amazed at the number of airport people who come up and say ‘Dave? I’ve been a member of MUFON for years.’”
MacDonald wants to promote MUFON’s commitment to professionalism, which covers not only a front-end screening for volunteer field-investigator applicants, but recurring tests for certification renewal. Not to mention continued public-records background checks, a fractious issue among some MUFON investigators a couple of years ago. MacDonald says it paid off:
“We weeded out a number of criminals and scam artists and at least one pedophile. Can you imagine sending a thief or a pedophile into someone’s house? I don’t even want to think about those liability issues.”
MacDonald also talks about more aggressive PR, press releases alerting media to new interesting cases, maybe even a year-in-review roundup. But what about the Bigelow outfit, where the FAA is steering public UFO queries? Robert Bigelow, the deep-pocketed hotel-chain tycoon hoping to cash in on space tourism, briefly financed MUFON’s research efforts a few years back before terminating the contract.
“We have little or no contact with Bigelow,” MacDonald says. “I don’t know what’s going on with that. MUFON and the FAA have not exactly been on the friendliest of terms over the years.”
Meanwhile, in an email reply to De Void, a Bigelow rep stated, “BAASS is still actively seeking reports of unidentified aerial phenomenon. This includes reports from the FAA, pilots, air traffic control personnel, as well as from other sources.” However, “Our policy does not allow us to provide any information on case numbers or investigations.”
De Void would rather think about Flamingo Air’s Mile-High Club …

Extraterrestrial life in Martian lava tubes?
Extraterrestrial life could be hiding in recently discovered lava tubes on Mars.

Photos taken by the European Space Agency’s (ESA) Mars Express spacecraft reveal rows of “pit-chains” lining the sides of volcanoes in the red planet’s Tharsis region. These pit-chains were likely caused by ancient volcanic activity. The ESA explains, “Lava streaming from a volcano solidifies on the surface, leaving a molten tube of lava running below. Once volcanic activity ceases, the tube empties, leaving behind a subterranean cavity.” Similar lava tubes were discovered last year on Earth’s moon by NASA’s Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.

These pit-chambers could have also formed due to strains in the planet’s crust, or even as a result of groundwater leading to the collapse of surface rocks.
Scientists believe tubes like these could provide a safe environment for life. Jason Major of Universe Today explains, “Even though the surface of Mars can receive 250 times the radiation levels found on Earth, the layers of soil and rock surrounding the tubes can provide adequate protection for life, whether it be ancient Martian microbes or future explorers from Earth.”
