Project Camelot Interview With Bob Dean 2011 (Video)

In February we were fortunate to have a chance to connect once again with one of our favorite people, one-man disclosure project, Bob Dean. Soon to celebrate his 82nd birthday, he was in good form and waxing eloquent about his relationship with ETs, breaking his security oath and looking toward the future with eyes wide-open.

This is not an interview but rather after three interviews we choose to have a rousing conversation about statements he has made, whether the people are ready for the truth and whether they can handle it. As always, he rises to the occasion giving as good as he gets and taking no prisoners. Eyes twinkling he leads the viewer down the rabbit hole a bit deeper while taking care not to reveal more than he feels the listener can stand.

The UFO Bestiary

Seth Shostak
You may not see massive UFO exhibits at your local science museum, but there's no dearth of saucer stories infesting my email. Every day I receive several reports of alien sightings, extraterrestrial plans for Earth, and agitated screeds about the reluctance of scientists to take the whole subject seriously. Plenty of people think they have convincing evidence for other-worldly visitors, and they want me to know.
Allow me to first note that this is a phenomenon worthy of attention. If aliens are really hanging out in our 'hood, it's hard to imagine any other fact more worthy of study. If not, then why does such a large fraction of the populace insist on believing they're here?
Note that few, if any, of these emails are penned by hoaxers. The correspondents are sincere, and many simply wish to help us in our search for evidence of extraterrestrial intelligence. Others are ticked off, usually at me.
It's a fire hose of correspondence, but stepping back a bit from the massive electronic corpus, it strikes me that virtually all of it falls into one of four categories. For the curious and interested, I list these subject areas below, together with a modestly elaborated description of each.
Sightings. The majority of my UFO diet consists of reports describing suspected encounters. This is not surprising, as there are thousands of sightings annually. The emailer has seen something unusual in the sky that he interprets as probable evidence of alien presence. Unfortunately, it's hard to say much about these stories. After all, I wasn't there.
I much prefer the photos and videos that are sometimes offered. The UFOs generally appear small, but contrary to frequent assumption, this doesn't prove that they're at high altitude moving at high speed (consider bugs and birds).
Many of the images are artifacts of photography. One gentleman sent me dozens of nighttime photos of city streets, featuring big, blobby and bright UFOs. But these luminous aliens only showed themselves when there was a street lamp in the shot. I suggested that they were internal reflections in the camera lens, and not alien ships behaving like moths. He disagreed...
Suggestions. Some people just want to feed the suggestion box. They've got information on how we can do our job better, such as telling us to swing our antennas in the direction of a particular star system where they're sure aliens are awaiting discovery. A favorite suggested target is the star system Zeta Reticuli, a locale made popular by the famous UFO case of Betty and Barney Hill. As it happens, we have examined Zeta Reticuli with our antennas -- not because of Betty and Barney, but because it's close (39 light-years). We didn't hear any Reticulans.
Other mails ask why we still look for radio signals when advanced aliens would surely communicate via hyperdimensional physics. Whatever that is. Others urge us to tune our receivers to the "frequency of DNA." Whatever that is.
Strange stuff. Why are we wasting time hunting for signals, say some correspondents, when extraterrestrials have left calling cards all over the planet? Virtually any pointed edifice is considered a candidate for alien engineering. After all, how could the Egyptians or Mayans have possibly stacked up stone blocks into pyramids? The Washington Monument -- also pointy -- is not considered an alien artifact as it was built by Americans who, of course, can manage this sort of project without extraterrestrial contractors.
Another story I get several times a month is that Homo sapiens is a deliberate creation of other-worldly beings. We're E.T.'s science fair project. The fact that our DNA is 98 percent the same as that of chimps implies that either the aliens must have also created our simian pals, or they were content to make us only very slightly better than what Nature had already served up.
A final category of strange stuff includes the correspondents who repeatedly claim that they are aliens. I wonder if they enjoy equal protection under the law.
Slams. While the above correspondence is interesting, it's not particularly unnerving. That cannot be said for those folks who like to excoriate me for being skeptical about alien visitation. They generally argue that the only reasons that few scientists give much credence to the visitation idea are these: (1) The government is keeping all the good evidence under wraps, and (2) Scientists are knee-jerk debunkers, unwilling to take any of this stuff seriously.
It's hard to believe that the aliens have cleverly arranged things so that only governments can find convincing evidence of their presence. And, of course, if you accept that premise, it follows that all the UFO reports by ordinary citizens are inadequate to establish the truth of aliens-on-Earth (a bummer of a message for organizations like MUFON).
As for the idea that scientists are either dumb or deliberately mum -- well hey, that's a slur both silly and personally wounding.
Imagine if Bigfoot enthusiasts blamed their failure to convince zoologists of the existence of these elusive beasts on (1) the state of Washington, which was deliberately covering up the really good evidence, and (2) forest rangers, who were derelict in their duty because they don't relentlessly investigate these hirsute hominids. Would such arguments convince you that Bigfoot was afoot?
The fact is, if you're certain that our planet is hosting alien visitors, the way to gain acceptance for your point of view is to prove it, not insist that the problem lies with third parties. The blame game is a cop-out

New Human Race/Species Discovered in China (Video)

A previously unknown race of human may have been identified in southern China, who researchers say existed alongside modern man as recently as 11, 500 years ago.

UFO's over Matteson IL, April 22nd, 2012

PLEASE READ-- I first would like to say sorry for the profanity language in the video as well as all the shaking. The roads were very bumpy, and I had no tripod at the time. I was on my way home from having dinner with a friend when we noticed four bright lights suddenly appearing in the Eastern sky lined up in a straight line. I was traveling East down Lincoln Highway or Route 30 in Matteson, just passing Harlem Avenue when we noticed the lights. They all appeared very suddenly, and were just about in a straight line formation. We knew that these were not airplanes or helicopters because of how sudden they appeared, and how still they were at first. Then I took out my camera and told my friend to film it while I try to drive closer to it. After filming for about five minutes, we decided to just turn around and head back home. On are way back home, I looked back in my mirror, and noticed that they moved into a triangular formation, was not able to get video of that though. Then we went back to my friends house to get some more footage of them. The whole event lasted over 30 minutes, possibly almost an hour.

Alabama witnesses report UFO orbs, human-like entity manifests

UFOs are "Unidentified Flying Objects". Is it possible that some UFOs are life forms? John Todd once suggested that UFOs or 'orbs' can also be lower and interdimensional entities that can shape-shift. Alabama witnesses reveal encounters with UFO orbs.

Alabama witnesses report seeing multi-coloured orbs on 15 April 2012 according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. These witnesses report seeing multi-coloured orbs within a two hour time span of sightings.

“We were watching the top of a mountain very close to our home, and we saw what appeared to be headlights,” the witness states.

“We then saw flashing blue lights. We had thought it was the police.“

“All of a sudden the flashing blue lights were in a field in front of our home. We saw numerous orbs of white, red and blue.”

The witness then describes seeing a humanoid entity amidst these array of lights, after the lights began to intensify.

“The flashing lights grew more intense and we saw what appeared to be a white form, almost human like but it vanished as quickly as we had seen it.”

The witness reveals that at first the lights had seemed to be lightning bugs.

“At first we thought the white orbs were lightning bugs but later determined the size was much too great to be that.”

John Todd suggested that‘archons’ on Earth are able to incite UFOs to appear in the sky. However, such UFOs are not simply “flashing objects of lights“ according to Mr. Todd [video attached].

The late-Jodd Todd is a former "insider".

John Todd suggested that some UFO orbs may be alien shape-shifters that appear in the sky and feed off from a negative energy matrix.

Dr. John Lash's insights on the ancient Pagan Gnostics identified ‘archons’ as artificial life forms. These life forms apparently seek to feed off from negative energies which are generated by higher dimensional spiritual-biological beings which include animals and humans.

Archons are connected to each other as a collective “hive mind” to the “Demiurge” based upon Pagan Gnostic insights. The Demiurge controls hierarchically arranged layers of archontic entities. Archons apparently seek to “please” the Demiurge. Some UFOs are therefore not spacecraft. Apparently such "UFOs" are actually the "animated energy" of demonic entities. Ancient Pagan Gnostic reveal that such "fallen angels" are responsible for parasitizing the human mind, and inspiring the mis-direction of the course of our human civilization.

By endorsing war, and social injustice on Earth, we, as humans, are apparently providing a milieu for these entities to further take over our 'dimensional space' as human beings based upon investigative research insights from David Icke and others.

No images or videos were included with the MUFON report, which was filed on 25 April 2012. The above quotes were edited for clarity.

The following is the unedited and as yet un-investigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that many UFO reports can be explained as something natural or terrestrial in origin.
We were watching the top of a mountain very close to our home and we saw what appeared to be headlights then flashing blue lights and we thought it was the police. All of a sudden the flashing blue lights were in a field in front of our home. We saw numerous orbs of white, red and blue. The flashing lights grew more intense and we saw what appeared to be a white form, almost human like but it vanished as quickly as we had seen it. There was a red flash in the field across from us that appeared to be the tail of some form moving quickly across the field. We continued to see more red, white and blue orbs blinking in the field then a red orb appeared to be at the top of the mountain in front of us and as quickly as it was seen by us it came at us faster than we had time to process and right before we ran inside we both noticed it looked very insect in form by the time it got to us.
We continued to see red, white and blue lights at the top of the mountain hovering up and down above and below the tree line and casting a very bright white light on the top of the mountain and suddenly they disappeared. this all took place over a two hour time span. We were both very scared but remained outside to watch this phenomena. There is absolutely no way to define these things or the way they moved silently with such speed but gave off so much light. At first we thought the white orbs were lightning bugs but later determined the size was much too great to be that. Also the red flash in the field and the white flash that revealed (only for a second) what appeared to be a type of humanoid form is completely unexplainable to us.

'Accidental' UFO Caught on Tape at Skate Park (Video)

A silver, disc-shaped saucer UFO was accidentally caught on video by a skateboarder making a promo video at a skate park in Canada. What is it?

The video posted here is an out-take clip from the original filmed at the McKinney Skate Park in Ontario. The skateboarder who made the video intended to catch some skateboarding tricks for a promotional video for a local skate shop.

After posting the video to YouTube, it was pointed out that an unidentified flying object was unintentionally caught in several frames buzzing across the sky as the camera followed the action. (By the way, the camera catches a sick trick by the skateboarder too. Be on the lookout!)

Enlarging a frame from the video shows the now familiar UFO shape being caught on cameras worldwide. It's a silver disc, saucer-shaped, with no wings, no engines, no lights and no exhaust. It's not a bird, a kite, a plane, a jet, a balloon or a helicopter. So what is it? Here's the video:

NRL comments on UFO orbiting the Sun

A strange object is in a recent NASA photograph, and some believe it is a UFO harvesting energy from the Sun.
Strange object photographed by NASA's SOHO spacecraft. (NASA/YouTube

The photograph in question was taken on Tuesday, April 24 by a camera on NASA’s Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO). The object in the photo looks like a spaceship with a long arm extending from its body.

The solar physics branch at the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) analyzes data from the camera aboard SOHO. Fox News asked the NRL about the photo. Nathan Rich, lead ground systems engineer in the NRL’s solar physics branch responded, stating the object in the photo is nothing but a glitch caused by cosmic rays.
This object looks quite different from other alleged UFOs in NASA photos in that it appears to be a very well-defined object. How can an object so well-defined be a simple camera glitch? Fox News explains:
In the image in question, a burst of cosmic rays happen to hit the camera lens at just the right angles to create the form of a hinged spaceship. The “boom arm,” angled at a slant across the rows and columns of pixels, was formed by a cosmic ray streaking through the camera sensor diagonally and at a shallow angle, depositing charge in several pixels along a diagonal line.
According to Life’s Little Mysteries, Rich surprisingly added, “The streaks in question are consistent with energetic particle (proton) impacts on the CCD, something which is apparent in just about every image.” With these glitches appearing in “just about every image,” it is surprising that there are not substantially more claims of UFOs in NASA photos. But Rich examines these photos for a living, so he probably knows what he is talking about.

UFO Conspiracy Theory Discussed by Anderson Cooper (Video)

Anderson Cooper has an open mind on a lot of subjects and in the video segment attached below he discusses the alleged UFO coverup conspiracy with MUFON Director John Ventre on Monday's show. Turns out, Cooper thinks the government is lousy at keeping secrets.

But it does point out that mainstream media personalities are much more willing to discuss this topic and that more people are beginning to take unidentified flying objects more seriously.

The focus of the segment was whether the US government is engaged in a conspiracy to keep the truth about so-called alien visitation a secret. It included witnesses who claim to have been contacted by extraterrestrials and discussed the increase of UFO sightings around the world in the last year.

No matter what one may think personally about these issues, it's clear that many people are willing to open up about their personal experiences and the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is making a record of those willing to share. More about the show can be found here. Here's a video of a short segment from the show:

Exobots And Robonauts: The Next Wave In The Search For Extraterrestrials

2 Robonauts

Self-replicating robots could be the solution to making first contact with an alien civilization.
These proposed exobots could efficiently explore our local galactic neighborhood and help locate any extraterrestrials that may be sending radio signals in our direction.
After 50 years of searching the heavens with radio telescopes and coming up empty, the SETI Institute's search for extraterrestrial intelligence may need an extra robotic boost.

In the current issue of the Journal of the British Interplanetary Society, John D. Mathews, a Penn State University professor of electrical engineering, offers his vision of a future populated by helpful and cost-effective exobots.
"It's extremely expensive to put humans in space," Mathews told The Huffington Post. "It's relatively cheap to put robotic vehicles in space. It's the path I started exploring and realized along the way that maybe we've elevated ET to this sort of god-like creature with amazing technology, and maybe that's not true -- maybe that's why we haven't found ET."
Mathews suggests that extraterrestrials may be traveling the same path to the stars as humans are, sending robots instead of living beings.
"If we explore our solar system, we'll use robots first," he said. "Humans may follow, and we can't launch everything from Earth because of the cost. We need to have robots reproduce themselves. Furthermore, they would communicate using very narrow-beam laser systems. If ET is doing that, it makes them very difficult for us to see, except by accident."
NASA took its first step in using humanoid robots in space last year when Robonaut 2 hitched a ride to the International Space Station on board one of the final space shuttle missions.

R2 was created to help with specific tasks, and with many more robots planned for future space endeavors (like the two mechanical men at right), it's a natural leap to have robots help make that first contact with an alien civilization.
But there are still some who oppose reaching out to ETs.
In 2010, famed British astrophysicist Stephen Hawking said he believed aliens are out there, but cautioned against trying to make contact with them, fearing it might turn out very badly for Earth.
"Hawking is concerned about the possibility of betraying our presence, that, if they were to come here, it might not be good for us," said Seth Shostak, senior SETI astronomer. "It's hard for me to believe that they actually have (hostile) intentions on us," he added.
Shostak told AOL News that the search for aliens is like listening to a radio station: "When you tune in your favorite DJ, he doesn't know you've tuned him in, so there's no danger in SETI."
Mathews agrees that there's probably nothing to worry about if aliens pick up on any signals humans send into deep space.
"Unless there's a way around the limitation of the speed of light, it's very difficult for me to see why anyone -- why ETs -- would want to come to Earth in robotic form to do any harm. The barrier is immense, but if there's a way around the speed of light, all bets are off."
Check out this SETI video:

The Penn State engineering professor would like to see humans go back to the moon to establish a robotic factory. From there, he envisions sending exobots to asteroids to monitor the many large space rocks that pose potential threats as their orbits sometimes bring them close to Earth.
These exobots could aid the search for alien signals and might eventually intercept one from an extraterrestrial robot coming toward Earth. "As we go out into the solar system, we might actually find that ET is already here in the form of robots," Mathews said.
"We need to make decisions on what we will do when approached or when we discover that we're not alone, because I firmly believe we are not alone."

Did a UFO Sighting Cause Pakistani 737 Crash? (Video)

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the crash of a 737 in Pakistan last Friday may have been caused by a UFO sighting by the pilot minutes before the accident.

In the Russian news report below, rumors that air traffic controllers received a report from the pilot of the Bhoja Air Boeing 737 minutes before the crash on approach to the Islamabad airport included an account of being buzzed by a triangular-shaped unidentified flying object.

Pakistani officials have initially blamed the crash on a combination of extremely bad weather, pilot error and aging equipment. Eyewitnesses have stated that the jet was already consumed by fire as it approached the airport and was too low and traveling too fast.

Whether or not a UFO actually interfered with the flight or not is pure speculation at this point. It is whether the pilot believed an unidentified aircraft was interfering with the flight which is important, because of the resulting distraction and confusion.

Here is how Russian TV is reporting the incident. The video is in Russian, obviously, but enough information can be understood by the English language words used and the images inserted to understand what is being said.

UFO over Hurley, Wisconsin Caught on Video

By UFO Casebook

UFO ImagePublished on Apr 23, 2012 by simplecommentary
This video was taken in Bessemer, Michigan. This multi-lighted object hovered at tree-top level above the ballpark in Hurley, and was completely silent.
The submitter also added an interesting fact:
You all know we've seen video like this one before. But the fact that my dog was so spooked that morning adds a whole new dimension to it for me.
She has NEVER refused to go outside, even at night when a bear was present.
Hurley is a city in and the county seat of Iron County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 1,818 at the 2000 census. It is directly across the Montreal River from Ironwood, Michigan.

UFOs: About That White House Question

One of those longstanding questions relative to UFOs that consistently and constantly pops up is: If aliens and UFOs are indeed visiting us, then why don’t they land on the White House lawn and announce their presence to one and all?
Okay, I know it’s a question that is often asked in a light-hearted, tongue-in-cheek, or skeptical fashion. But, for some, it’s a question posed with utter and deadly seriousness. And so, keeping that in mind, just why might it be that “the aliens” – if they are among us - don’t land in full view of the President and his staff? Let’s take a look…
For many, the aliens should land on that green and pleasant piece of grass for one specific, and massively important, reason: To say “Hello” to the great Human Race. Pleeeez! The sheer level of never-ending human arrogance and ego-driven nonsense that populates our world never ceases to amaze me. In the bigger scheme of things, and as a species that has actually achieved anything significant (aside from finding better and bigger ways to destroy each other), we have been around for barely a millisecond.
Even compared to the dinosaurs, we are still definitive non-starters. Those beasts reigned for millions of years. The way things are going, we will be lucky to make it through the next couple of centuries! So, why should E.T. even bother to land and finally hang out in wide open fashion with a bunch of screw-ups like us who are likely not to last anyway? So, if we are being visited, announcing themselves to whoever might be hanging out in the Oval Office on the fateful day is probably the last thing ‘they” will have on their minds.

What about landing for Obama, right now, and warning us of our warlike ways, in the fashion that the Space-Brothers supposedly did back in the 1950s – albeit largely in the desert and just to a few handfuls of Contactees, back then? I say: Why bother even warning us? If, pretty soon, we’re likely to become the cosmic equivalent of the school-bully, why not just wipe us out? Ah, but, Ufology has an answer to this matter.

Such a question inevitably provokes a certain response from whole swathes of the UFO research community who chime in that the desire of the aliens to try and help us onto a better path – rather than exterminate us – demonstrates their kindness and benevolence. And, that rather than land at the presidential office, they prefer to work and weave their magic from afar. Really? Seriously? What, exactly, has E.T. ever done for us? Cured cancer? Saved the rain-forests? Found a solution to over-population, obesity, and our reliance on oil? Prevented a few Tsunamis, earthquakes and hurricanes here and there? The answer to all those questions is: NOPE!
Maybe, then, the visitors from beyond are just waiting for the right time to set down at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. And when, exactly, might the right time be? Hell, with everything going belly-up, now would surely be as good a time as ever! They failed to show their strength and curb our warlike instincts after Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As far as I’m aware, no alien took a worried and concerned walk into the White House on the eve of the Cuban Missile Crisis. And where were they when 9-11 went down? Certainly not offering wise words to the administration about how to respond, and what the ramifications might be more than a decade later, that’s for certain.
The fact of the matter is that if our world is experiencing visitations from other-world entities, then hanging out with us, curing our ills, and making the future cool and fun – and doing so by making that historic landing at the White House – is simply not a part of their agenda. Let’s look at the evidence: if there is one thing we know for sure about the UFO phenomenon, it’s that it acts in distinct stealth. And, seemingly, always has done.
Alien Abductions, face-to-face encounters with long-haired characters in the deserts of California, cattle-mutilations, Crop Circles – all of them, in various ways, and in varying degrees of credibility, have been linked to the presumed presence of extraterrestrials on our world. But all of these phenomena have one thing in common: A distinctly clandestine approach. The collective body of UFO-themed data in-hand clearly shows that if E.T. is here, then it most definitely prefers to distance itself from the masses.
If certain factions of the UFO research community are correct, E.T. roams the skies in the dead of night, in search of the next poor soul to prod, poke and steal their DNA. It does likewise with our cows in darkened fields. And, even if there is a degree of positive alien-human contact, ensuring it often occurs to a solitary, and often already-eccentric, character in the desert, serves no major, meaningful purpose whatsoever.
So, with that all said, why don’t the aliens land on the White House lawn and finally, once and for all, announce themselves?

My answer – if aliens really are coming here - is very simple: E.T. is as self-serving, selfish, and as “in it for Number One” as we are. For so long, we have been assured that the aliens are going to make things right for us, that there’s a bigger picture we just aren’t quite seeing yet, that Disclosure is on the way (maybe even with the aliens’ help), and that one day, soon, that historic landing really will happen.
The reality, however, is that the White House has been standing for plenty enough years for the aliens to come and hang out in D.C. for a few days. But they don’t – ever. When it comes to the matter of that always-present and pesky question that is the subject of this article, what we find is that asking the question tells us far more about ourselves than it does about E.T. We assume the aliens want to hang and chat. After all, we’re the great Human Race, right? No, actually.
If life exists elsewhere in the Universe – and there’s probably a very good chance it does – then those races that have managed to steer themselves away from the extinction or collapse that threatens to engulf us may well have a distinct “seen it all before” attitude towards us. To us, we are Numero Uno. To them, we’re no big deal. A White House, a Blue House, a Purple-With-Yellow-Spots House, they evidently could not care less.
It can be argued with a high degree of credibility and solid data that there certainly is a genuine UFO presence among us, but it cannot be argued in the slightest that the phenomenon is anything but secretive, crafty, stealthy, manipulative, guarded, indifferent and unapproachable – unless it’s on their terms and their terms alone. And their terms clearly don’t involve dropping in for a bit of friendly, hostile, or indifferent chit-chat with the Prez.

Justin Bieber + Lady Gaga to Portray Aliens in ‘Men in Black 3′

‘Men in Black 3′ star Will Smith already spilled the beans that Lady Gaga would be making a cameo in the third installment of the extraterrestrial movie franchise, but now the word on the street is that Justin Bieber has been added to the list of ‘MIB 3′ celebrity cameos. The best part? Bieber and Gaga aren’t set to play just themselves, but aliens from another planet!
According to a report from Star Pulse, the Biebs and Mother Monster will portray “aliens who sit on a surveillance board, alongside kooky filmmaker Tim Burton.” Could this really get any better? Gaga and Burton are definitely eccentric, so seeing them as aliens in a film doesn’t seem all that out of the norm, but adding Bieber to this mix will surely make for an extra interesting scene.
‘MIB 3′ director Barry Sonnenfeld talked about their cameos, saying, “In this (installment) there are a few people that you’ll see up on the surveillance board including Lady Gaga, Tim Burton, who probably knows more about aliens than I do, and let’s see who else… Justin Bieber.”
We can’t wait to see this! We wonder if Bieber will have an extra head like Johnny Knoxville did in the second film, or if Gaga will turn into some kind of dazzling alien goddess who runs her own planet. We’ll just have to wait until May 25 to see what the ‘MIB’ masterminds have cooking.
Bieber and Gaga aren’t the first music superstars to have appeared in a ‘Men in Black’ flick alongside Agents K (Tommy Lee Jones) and Agent J (Smith). Michael Jackson showed off his acting chops by portraying a suited up fed in the second movie, and Nicole Scherzinger will also reportedly have a part in the newest ‘MIB’ movie.

Did World War II Technology Allow Us to Begin “Seeing” UFOs?

“The Man Who Takes Us to the Future” is the blurb across the front cover of this month’s edition of Wired Magazine, featuring an article on Marc Andreessen, described as “the most influential venture capitalist in silicon valley.” Andreesson, who is credited with inventing the web browser, is featured in the piece lending his own ideas about where future technology will lead us.
No doubt, these sorts of predictions, and especially the accurate manifestations of such technologies that will later ensue, could be described as “eye opening.” And yet, we probably take for granted to a great degree just how true this may be in a literal sense. If anything, the proliferation of advanced new technologies may literally begin to “allow” humans to perceive into new depths of Forteana, just as well. There is, in fact, some empirical data to back up this premise, especially if we consider a unique possibility: that are obvious reasons the UFO era really began to take hold during and immediately after World War II.
The “Foo Fighters” being reported by both the Allies and the Axis powers during the Second World War seemed, quite obviously, to be an alarming new “enemy” technology at the outset. During the War, the pilots who had been flying what were then the most advanced aircraft on Earth had reported being dogged by strange lights and other objects; it wasn’t until after the conflict that it became certain, with little room for doubt, that these “objects” hadn’t belonged to any of the major superpowers. But if not something of apparent human design and origin, what then?

To answer this great question would require an almost countless number of potentials to be thoroughly considered, despite the fact that, even today, the tried and true “extraterrestrial” hypothesis still remains the most prevalent stereotype theory about UFO origins. But let’s suppose for a moment that UFO craft–whatever they may actually be–had actually been present alongside humankind for much longer? Jacques Vallee and several others have supposed such scenarios might explain various early reports of strange aerial phenomenon over the centuries, in addition to drawing parallels to a variety of different elements involving faerie tales and folklore from various traditions around the globe.
If we are indeed dealing with a technological presence that could have been running parallel to humankind for much longer than most realize, It seems very likely that World War II would have served a pivotal role of presenting great necessity for wartime innovation, which thus led to the creation of technologies that allowed us to begin to better perceive and study UFOs.
Chief among such technologies are radar systems and radiation detection apparatus. While devices used for the detection of radiation had existed

already for a couple of decades by the time the Second World War broke out, Geiger counters along the lines of what we use today weren’t perfected until around 1947; coincidentally, this was the same year Kenneth Arnold claimed to witness UFOs over the Northwest as he flew over Mount Rainier, a well as the year the infamous Roswell UFO crash took place. Within the subsequent released Project Bluebook files, we certainly see mention of strange objects capable of producing large amounts of radiation. Throughout the UFO literature that would persist over the next few decades, we would often find this to be a measurable, and even dangerous quantity.
Another technology that might have allowed limited ability to “detect,” and therefore observe UFOs to some degree, would be the aforementioned radar systems. While major world superpowers had been developing radar in secret prior to WWII, again, the practical use of such systems would only be perfected during the years of conflict. History shows, as many of you have probably already surmised, that radar systems would eventually

prove quite beneficial in detecting strange objects (or entire fleets of objects) that appeared to be flying overhead nearby… and yet which, rather strangely, appeared to be invisible to the naked eye! Strange though it sounds, UFO literature is rife with these very sorts of stories, which quite obviously detail an advanced technology which, as a result of our own advancing intelligence, had slowly began to move into our range of perception.
So considering that our own technological advancement over time may have literally contributed to the otherwise “timed” appearance of UFOs as a cultural phenomenon after WWII, can we expect to see technology over the next few years molding and shaping our ability to perceive other things about reality itself, and perhaps the “hidden” aspects of this existence that may already be hovering all around us? I’m often asked these sorts of questions in interviews, and the short answer is “yes.” If anything, the advanced technologies that begin to emerge over the next two decades may render it all but impossible for the existence of such things as UFOs to be denied much longer… and when that happens, what kinds of innovations could we expect to stem from the potential for interaction with an intelligence even greater than our own? Food for thought, perhaps…
