There is one thing that we can say for sure about the UFO presence on our world: it acts in a decidedly stealthy manner. It never lays its cards fully on the table. It lurks in the shadows. It surfaces only briefly, tantalizing and amazing those for whom it manifests. After which, like a typical chain-rattling spectre it’s gone again. It’s not – so far as we know – overtly hostile. On the other hand, it has done nothing to help improve our situation on Earth, either. In that sense, the phenomenon is more than a bit of a conundrum.
One day, however, the phenomenon may come storming out of those shadows and remain in full view for all to see. If that does happen, and it proves to be malevolent, then we had better watch out. Big time.
If the intelligences behind the UFO issue are hostile to us, but – right now – are merely biding their time, then it’s worth noting that an all-out assault on the Human Race may not come via a standard sci-fi scenario of the kind that appeared in War of the Worlds or Independence Day. Rather, it may come in the form of a deadly, unstoppable alien virus, perhaps one genetically tinkered with to ensure that it only targets the Human Race.

Such a situation might not only be hazardous for us, as a species. Conceivably, it could lead to our absolute extinction. The scenario of such an extraterrestrial virus reaching the Earth was most memorably played out in Michael Chrichton’s novel (and the movie based on the novel), The Andromeda Strain. In the story, a deadly extraterrestrial virus is brought to Earth when an American space vehicle crashes near an Arizona town. Within no time at all, the virus practically wipes out the entire local population.
A group of scientists is selected to try and combat the deadly hazard from another world. Their attempts to do so are undertaken in the Area 51-like Wildfire laboratory, which is located far below the Nevada desert, and to where the contaminated bodies have been taken. The race is quickly on to try and find a cure for the virus before it affects not just a small town in Arizona, but the entire planet.
So, why am I mentioning this now? Well, Dr. Robert Wood – father of UFO researcher Ryan Wood – has a brand new book out called Alien Viruses: Crashed UFOs, MJ12, & Biowarfare. It tells the dark and disturbing story of what may very well be chillingly real Andromeda Strains, the vast majority of them having links to the UFO phenomenon.
Back in 2006, Bob Wood asked me if I would be interested in ghostwriting Alien Viruses for him. I thought about the proposal both long and hard. I have, however, always taken the view that it behooves us – indeed it is vital – to look at all of the available evidence pertaining to this particular aspect of the UFO controversy with an unbiased mind – and an open one, too.
Bob has been carefully looking into the potentially very disturbing angle of UFOs incidents, and their connections to a lethal alien virus, since the 1990s. And so, since Bob uncovered a wealth of material on this very topic, much of which was previously unseen or unappreciated in terms of its relevance, I accepted the assignment to ghost-write the book.
Bob Wood has quite literally gone where no UFO researcher has gone before in his quest, having tirelessly pursued this seldom-trod path with utter diligence and complete dedication. His findings will interest you, they will astound you, and they may even make you concerned for our future as a species, and about our interactions with the intelligences behind the on-going UFO presence on our world.
And so, I have no hesitation in offering Bob both my support and my admiration, for having had the determination and the sheer guts to delve deep into an area that many lesser souls have either steered clear of, or have openly derided and dismissed as being of no consequence. The results of Bob Wood’s in-depth work and eye-opening discoveries should be read by anyone and everyone interested in the controversial world of the crashed UFO.
If the UFO phenomenon does, one day, turn hostile, then an all-out assault may not come via the tired, old, sci-fi approach of “laser guns” and the like. Rather, it may come in the form of an invisible, silent, and fast-acting killer, one against which we have no protection and absolutely no antidote. The end just might arrive in the form of a deadly virus from the stars that takes us out before we even know what’s afoot.
Read Bob Wood’s Alien Viruses. It’s an important contribution to the UFO field, on a controversial and disturbing subject that doesn’t get the coverage it should.
