Provocative UFO Documentary Raises More Questions Than Answers (Video)

By Tom Rose

As the hotly debated Doomsday 2012 date looms closer, a UFO documentary, produced by Iceberg Theory TV, summarizes the current debate in dynamic, cable-news style.

Not by answering old questions, but by posing new ones. And yet, the most important one is the same: why are there still unexplained sightings of unidentified flying objects witnessed and recorded all around the world?

Running down the list of some classic and more recent, still unexplained incidents, some witnessed by crowds of onlookers, some notably captured on film, the short feature punches through skeptical opposition to raise the central issue; with all the technology available to modern Science, what can be behind these inexplicable events?

With the explosion of better quality videophones arming Citizen Journalists around the globe, UFO sightings are on the rise on an unprecedented scale. Why?

This documentary doesn't presume to explain these events, only to remind the public that, in some cases, there are no definitive answers yet.

Told in an action-packed, fast-paced, slickly produced Nightly News style, even non-believers should come away from watching it realizing there is more to the story than meets the eye.

The best thing about this documentary is it allows viewers to make up their own minds. And it does so in a dynamic, intelligent and even entertaining manner, which only lends credibility for anyone approaching the topic with an open mind. Here's the video:

UFO Caught on Video from Cruise Ship in China (Video)

A Birmingham, Alabama tourist caught this unknown flying object speeding through the air.
The object was seen and filmed from a ship. The UFO was speeding over Hong Kong at the time.
Could this be an airplane moving at such a great speed, or is it something else?

Multi-colored UFO in Lithuania (video)

A man in Bialystock, Lithuania filmed a strange UFO in the night sky on Tuesday, May 1st. The Daily Mail describes the object as looking like a police siren, because “It spins and flashes in different colours, and remains motionless for four minutes.”

The object in the video never displays any sort of motion. And the flashing colors of light seem better suited for a nightclub than an alien spacecraft. The object in question is likely a balloon with LED lights. But the UFO’s apparent lack of movement is unusual, as balloons tend to drift through the sky, rather than sitting motionless. It is difficult to determine much from the low-quality, shaky video. But there are a wide variety of products on the market today enabling people to launch illuminated objects into the night sky to create a visual spectacle like the one seen in this video from Lithuania.

Triangle-Shaped UFOs Buzz Over United States, England And Australia (Video)

Triangle Ufo 429 Tennessee
A red flashing light occasionally appears between three white lights in a video shot April
29 of a triangular-shaped UFO over eastern Tennessee.
Those triangle-shaped UFOs just don't seem to go away. Whether they're conventional planes, experimental stealth technology or truly unexplained vehicles, reports continue to surface about these aircraft.
And the sightings aren't isolated to a single location. Reports and videos have emerged recently from the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.
It used to be that most UFO spotters related stories about unusual saucer-shaped or cigar-shaped craft in the skies. Around the mid-1970s, sightings of triangle-shaped, boomerang-shaped and, yes, Dorito-shaped objects hit UFO news outlets.
Some of these UFOs may, in fact, be top-secret military aircraft like the ones now known to have been developed and tested at the legendary Area 51 base north of Las Vegas.
But does that explanation fit all of them? Here's a look at some of the latest triangular craft.

On April 26, three UFOs appearing to fly in a triangular-shaped formation were reportedly videotaped by a passenger on an airplane over England. The video, above, offers yet another example of how people claim to shoot odd-looking craft outside their planes.
In another case, a slow-moving triangle-shaped craft was spotted on April 28 over Independence, Mo., according to Examiner.com. An eyewitness reported the sighting to the Mutual UFO Network.
"It was very odd -- a triangular-shaped flying object that had two blinking lights in the rear only," the witness wrote. "There were no other lights on the craft like you would see on a plane."
The Missouri report has no corroborating pictures or videos, and the eyewitness preferred to remain anonymous, but she and a friend were very intrigued by the craft. "We were amazed at how this big solid object was even airborne and how it was moving so slowly!" she wrote in her report to the Mutual UFO Network.

With only a background sound of crickets, the video above, shot on April 29 somewhere in Tennessee, shows three lights in the night sky forming a triangular shape, according to Gather.com.
A careful look at the short video will reveal a fourth amber light occasionally flashing in between the three white lights.

And on Wednesday, a triangle-shaped UFO was captured on video in the middle of the day over Sydney, Australia, according to Gather.com. A video, above, lasting more than four minutes showcases an object not easily identified.
Last year the land down under also made headlines when Australia's official records of UFO sightings suddenly went missing.
With these triangular-craft reports surfacing just in these recent months, perhaps the balance of this year will yield more.
